Welcome! The Department of Chemistry is one of seven departments and programs under the School of Science and Engineering of the Loyola Schools campus of the Ateneo de Manila University. Established in 1960, the department boasts of having distinguished faculty and one of the best equipped facilities in the country. The department is housed in Schmitt Hall. The Department is presently a designated CHED Center of Excellence in Chemistry. Mission Statement We believe that science and technology are an integral part of the socio-economic development of any country. To contribute to our national development, the department aims to: train and nurture scientists and technologists who will be committed to the theory and application of chemistry, and engage in fundamental and applied research in chemistry that will fuel the development of competitive, local technology.
