ChemCamp ..a 5-week summer fun in the chemistry labs by junior high school students; individual experiments include synthesis, instrumetation, and others; no tests! but attendance is strictly followed; there is no fee and participation is by nomination of high school and invitation of the Ateneo Chemistry Department Chair
ChemTeach ..a 12-day workshop for high school teachers with laboratory and demonstrations exercises; may be taken for credit as ChEd 201.1 and 202.1; participation is by nomination of high school principal and invitation of the Ateneo Chemistry Department Chair. Other training workshops that were offered in 1998 and 1999 include: Practical NMR Spectroscopy (c/o NCIC) by Dr. Fabian M. Dayrit .. FT-NMR techniques with laboratory. Chemistry of Free Radicals by Professor M. John Perkins (University of London) Amando Kapauan Instrumentation Series (sponsored by the CHED-COE) .. for junior B.S. Chemistry majors from other campuses; by nomination and invitation only. Short Course on Electroanalytical chemistry by Professor Gen Sato (Professor Emeritus, Sophia University, Japan).
